Fluoroaliphatic Surface Protectant

MASURF FS-120A is characterized as a 18% active fluoroaliphatic phosphate ester fluorosurfactant in an aqueous solution. FS-120A contributes exceptional oil resistance, rheology and surface modification, spreading and leveling properties to a wide range of systems. MASURF FS-120A is an ammonium salt, which is preferred to DEA salts when formulated into aqueous Floor Finishes and Sealers , where the simple addition of 25-50ppm active FS-120A imparts wetting and leveling with demonstrable Oil and Grease resistance. Imparts UV Resistant protective Oil and Grease resistance to Concrete, Stone and Tile surfaces used as building materials, including kitchens, flooring and bathrooms.

As a Surface Protectant, MASURF FS-120A is vapor-permeable, for reduced cracking, spalling and freeze/thaw damage. FS-120A dilutes readily in water/alcohol/glycol mixtures with excellent shelf stability. Use on Marble, Limestone, Concrete/Masonry, Tile, Stucco, Granite and Grout.

Oil Repellent Stain Repellent
Ingredients: Wt.%
Masurf FS-120A 8-18.0
Isopropanol 3.0
2-butoxyethanol 3.0
Wate (deionized) q.s.
Notes:
Mix Masurf FS-120A with Isopropanol and 2-Butoxyethanol. Warm to
45-50˚C. Add water, allow to cool to slightly for a Ready-to-Use product.
Apply at 1 gallon per 200-400 square feet for concrete and brick.

Use Dilution:
Hard surface applications and coverage rates will vary depending on the surface and the performance required, but typically 8-18% Masurf FS-120A will provide excellent repellency on concrete, brick, stucco, pavers and tile when applied at the rate of 1 gallon per 200 -400 square feet. Low porosity stones and surfaces will yield higher coverage.

Storage:
For long term storage a suitable biocide/fungicide, such as 0.1% Maguard I-100 by weight, should be added unless isopropanol is used as a co-solvent.

Cure Time:
Cure time for maximum water protection is approximately 24-72 hours. Repellency will start to develop almost immediately. Application rates, concentration of FS-120A, and temperature/humidity can impact dry/cure times.
