Reactive Quat Siloxanes

MAQUAT QSX-18SE/75BG is characterized as Triethoxysilyl Soyapropyl Dimonium Chloride in butylene glycol, QSX-22/75PC is characterized as Trimethoxysilyl Behenpropyl Dimonium Chloride and MAQUAT QSX-18SM/72MA is characterized as Trimethoxysilyl Stearapropyl Dimonium Chloride in methyl alcohol and are examples of MAQUAT QSX Reactive Quat Siloxane technology.

The MAQUAT QSX Series is manufactured through reactions of chloropropyl trimethoxysilane or chloropropyl triethoxysilane with tertiary amines. In the examples of QSX-18SE/75BG, QSX-22/75PC and QSX-18SM/72MA-soya, behenyl and stearyl dimethyl amines are used-with other amines such as lower alkyl amines or aromatic amines such as pyridine or mixed picolines for other applications. Additionally, high flash non-VOC carriers such as propylene carbonate, as in QSX-22/75PC, can be applied.

MAQUAT QSX reactive quat siloxanes have a multitude of uses. QSX series finds uses in Personal Care, Paper Production, Textile dyeing and finishing, and Wood Treatment or any application where durable, substantive cationic surface activity is desired.
